Tabitha is a reserved and thoughtful young woman, striking but unlikely to make much contact with anyone she doesn't know already. With the sensitive soul of a poet and an aloof, faraway stare that marks her as either a watchful guard or a stalking predator, Tabitha is difficult to find or pin down unless she wants to interact with someone, and even then seldom gives away any information or insight into anything (including herself!) that she does not choose to. Anyone able to get close enough to her to see past her indifferent exterior might be surprised by the depths within... but very few outside of her family have ever been able to do so.
Biography
Mortal Life
Tabitha was born and raised in the DC area... at least, if you could call her early life being "raised". One of the younger children of a large family, she went unnoticed by her parents and peers in the crowd for the most part, and when she was noticed, it was usually to be blamed for something one of her other siblings had done. She turned early on to writing poetry and songs in her spare time to provide an escape, and by the time she was a teenager had all but abandoned her home life in favor of making friends and playing her music. Other disaffected youth made good friends and a surrogate family that understood her better, and in spite of her shy nature, Tabitha became an accepted and well-loved fixture of the downtown scene.
Embrace
Unfortunately for Tabitha, the street kids she spent her time with were easy pickings for predatory Kindred, and she was cornered by Joseph Fuller, a Gangrel who had blown into town on a bizarre "divine mission" on one of his nighttime feeding excursions. Although he intended just to slake his thirst, Tabitha panicked at the prospect and fought him so viciously that she actually did him some injury, which impressed him into believing that she was chosen to become part of his mission herself. He Embraced her, leaving her to sort her new condition out in the streets on her own for a while.
Tabitha acclimated quickly, and her new (and terrifying) condition and urges were easily channeled into her poetry and lyrics, although she found herself immediately pulling away from her old friends. Joseph's cult seemed beyond insane to her, and her life quickly began to revolve around finding a way to keep her own identity and avoid being absorbed into his bizarre ideals and plans.
Activity in Washington, DC
Tabitha has recently become one of the "Archons" serving under Art Morgan, the unofficial clan head of the Gangrel in DC, to whom she has dedicated a great deal of her time and energy (and, some of her clanmates suspect, possibly her feelings, too). Tabitha has frequently been seen patrolling the area with Art's other friends, keeping an eye on unrest or possibly causing it at the right time, and reporting information back to those she thinks both need and deserve it. She's also been seen with the young Gangrel girl Melissa now and then, although it's hard to tell exactly what their relationship is.
