To some, the Brujah Antitribu, violent and cruel, unruly and riotous, are the ultimate expression of what an unfettered vampire can truly be; to others, they are the most obvious indictment of the Sabbat creed to abandon humanity. Violent and impulsive in the extreme, they are just as powerful in battle as their other-sect counterparts, but with none of the control and all of the viciousness they can muster. The Sabbat primarily uses them as frontlight invaders and cannon fodder, correctly reasoning that no matter how exotic some other disciplines might be, in the end a Brujah Antitribu needs only fists and rage, and has both in ready supply.

Due to their overwhelming ferocity and the sect's ability to free their darker urges, almost all Brujah Antitribu are one short step away from snapping and becoming ravening, unstoppable monsters, equally likely to murder friend as foe. This makes them slightly uncomfortable bedfellows for many of their packmates and soldiers-in-arms, but no one can deny their effectiveness (although their state occasionally causes some to question the Sabbat's methods and goals a little more than is comfortable).

History

The Brujah Antitribu are proud of their status as founders of the Sabbat, which can occasionally cause friction with the Lasombra and Tzimisce, two clans who have always considered the sect to belong to them. They are right in that they are the political force that holds the sect together, but the Antitribu are also right: without their strength of arms and willingness to hurl themselves headlong into battle while facing terrible odds, all that political planning would have been kept on a shelf somewhere for centuries.

Lacking most of the actual political powerbase to do anything but hurl themselves into combat, the Brujah Antitribu have never had a strong amount of influence in the higher echelons of the Sabbat. Instead, they have spent the past few centuries turning toward what they do best: grassroots recruitment, with shovelhead Embraces vastly swelling their ranks so that the short lifespan and high turnover rate among them is less obvious than it otherwise might be. Recent rumblings among Brujah Antitribu have suggested a leaning toward splitting off to join the Anarchs, or supporting a schism within the Sabbat itself by backing Pander bids to gain more recognition and power... but their leaders consider them largely too disorganized and hot-headed to actually succeed at any of their grandiose plans.

Strongholds

Like most Antitribu clans, the Brujah Antitribu are scattered loosely throughout Sabbat territory, appearing in numbers wherever they happen to be on the offensive but with no true clan base of their own. As a clan that is essentially a living offensive battle line, they seldom find themselves resting peacefully anywhere (nor do they want to), and instead are mostly in a constant state of either fighting to conquer other sects' territories or traveling as quickly as possible to be allowed to do so.

Advantages and Weaknesses

Advantages

Of all the Antitribu clans, the Brujah retain the most sense of self-determination; even the mindless indulgence and overwhelming cruelty of the Sabbat can't quite stomp out their penchant for independent thinking and rebellion against authority. All Brujah Antitribu are able to flatly ignore a major order or demand from someone they should normally have to listen to every now and then without real consequences, as no one really expects better of them; and they are able to use their prodigious willpower to snap themselves out of the effects of mind-altering powers such as Dominate or Presence in moments of great need, making them perilously difficult to control or direct.

Disadvantages

Like all other Brujah, the Antitribu have terrible tempers, but their struggles go beyond being quick to anger and wrestling the Beast to avoid Frenzy more often. In addition to being prone to frenzying at the first sign of an irritant or obstacle, they also struggle to control latent violent urges, even when they are not trying to harm anyone. Every Brujah Antitribu runs the risk of ripping apart their prey while feeding or of destroying tools and items they use, and most have as a result stopped relying on anything but their own physical capabilities.

The messy deaths of mortals around them are accepted by the Sabbat, but in spite of their refusal to abide by the Masquerade, Brujah Antitribu still find themselves the most common targets for Hunters or Camarilla Scourges due to how easy it is to find and target them when they leave such a hideous trail of destruction behind them.
