Ginevra is in her Paris apartment, pacing and running her hand through her hair. There is a cast immobilizing her left arm. She goes to her purse and removes a can of pepper spray and a letter opener and hides the letter opener in her cast.
Outside, Pieter walks down the dark streets. He darts into an alley and chews on his lip until it bleeds. He then goes to Ginevra's door and rattles the handle, then knocks. Ginevra turns to look at the door and then sidles up to it to one side.
