Unreleased Characters

The vampire characters below are Unreleased, meaning that they are considered a possession of their sire's and have no autonomy in Camarilla vampire society. In the Sabbat, such new vampires are called False Sabbat until they have proven their worth to the sect, although they are still considered autonomous due to so many of them having no knowledge of their sire.

Among shapeshifters, this is analogous to the unranked designation of "cub", "kitten", or other culture-specific descriptions of new inductees not yet ready for social responsibilities. Newly-awakened Changelings are called fledges, while Wraiths refer to such new ghosts as enfants, although they very rarely remain in such a state for long.
