Purgatory is a dive bar: located on the edge of town, low-down and well-maintained but definitely not new or shiny, it's a haven for bikers, drug addicts, and various other people down on their luck. The lighting is low enough that it's hard to see faces and identifying marks unless to people are very close together; tables are secluded and lit just well enough to drink and eat at, making pockets of privacy all around the room. It's noisy and smoke-filled, the alcohol is cheap and plentiful, and the clientele starts brawls at least half the nights the place is open.

Purgatory is owned and operated by Bjorn Garinson, Primogen of Clan Brujah, who uses it as his personal meeting space and unofficial clan watering hole. It is also frequently patronized by Anarchs, Independents, and other members of the city who aren't interested in the glitterati scenes favored by the High Clans, but anything or anyone who annoys him is likely to earn a one-way trip out the back door into the alley wall or, on more spectacular occasions, through the front window.
