The Pit is difficult to find. It's not on city planning or zoning paperwork - it's just listed as "unused" property with a very suspect chain of ownership - and it doesn't advertise, appear in phone books or business guides, or have any operating licenses. Most people only find the Pit, down the street on a dark corner near Limbo and Embassy Row, by accident, or if they already know where to look for it. It is operated by Pieter Van Reise, sole proprietor, and it is almost solely patronized by ghouls who are on break from the needs and schedules of their nearby masters (although mortals and even the odd Kindred do wander in and out from time to time).

Inside, the Pit is dingy and dirty, probably violating health codes, and warmly comfortable for anyone willing to put up with less than great hygiene. There are only a handful of small tables as well as a bar, both manned by Jonathan Stewart and Sean Fallon as the only employees, and the kitchen serves a house barbecue concoction and whatever other food any of the haphazard inhabitants of the place manage to scrounge up.
