Sanguinus is one of the most unsettling disciplines to witness: it involves multiple vampires melding their flesh together, becoming weird composite creatures with hideously intertwined body parts and minds. It is usually used in secret to avoid notice; when it isn't, mortals seeing it tend to faint or flee in abject horror, while even other supernaturals often suffer from extensive nausea. The only known bloodline to practice the power, the Blood Brothers, is so minor and poorly understood that vampiric researchers have theorized that the power may be more of a consequence of unstable blood or a curse that the Brothers are laboring under than a true discipline.

Vampires with Sanguinus must "connect" themselves to other vampires with the same powers; usually their own broodmates, although there are rare exceptions. Once they have done so, they are all able to use Sanguinus powers on one another regardless of where they are or what they are doing, and removing someone from such a connected bond requires the concerted effort of the whole group.

Basic Powers

Brother's Blood

You may spend blood to heal not only yourself but others with whom you are currently joined. In essence, you and those connected to you share one enormous blood pool for purposes of healing, meaning that it is almost impossible to kill one of you without killing all the others at the same time.

You may share limbs and organs with others you are connected to, allowing them to move your body parts or use them in lieu of their own. Useful when some members are injured, since they can co-opt a lung or a blood vessel while their own is in need of repair, this power also allows connected vampires to modify their bodies, allowing many arms here, many eyes there, or a smooth fleshly lump waiting patiently behind for its companions to return limbs when they are done using them.

Intermediate Powers

All those connected to you may now share a hivemind. While linked, you share one anothers' senses and are able to help one another fight off the influence of outside powers such as Dominate or Presence. Even if members are far away from one another, they all experience all sensory input, allowing them to quickly share information and communication in real time.

Walk of Caine

The only thing more powerful than a vampire's blood is an older vampire's blood, and this power allows a group of connected vampires to adjust the potencies of their own blood to temporarily gain more power. By raising the Generation of all other members of the group, you may lower your own; how much you can lower it completely depends on how many Sanguinus users are connected to you, with more members of the group allowing more and more potent drops down to truly ancient blood. Your blood remains altered until the end of the evening, when everyone reverts back to normal.

Advanced Powers

All members of a connected group may merge together into a giant monstrosity of flesh (not unlike a Vozhd, but with a lot more advantages). Members may connect any parts of their bodies they wish in any configuration, allowing hideous war forms with twelve arms, monstrosities with teeth embedded in yawning fists, and open-organ nightmares that deploy their own guts as living weapons. Obviously, the sight of such a creature is horrifying in the extreme and an instant breach of the Masquerade.

Important Things to Keep in Mind

Sanguinus is almost unheard-of, and those who do know it almost universally recognize it as a discipline belonging to the Sabbat, making anyone who uses it in another sect vulnerable to immediate and harsh repercussions. A few apocryphal stories circulate of vampires from other clans or bloodlines learning the skill, but most refuse to put stock in such obvious fairy tales.

Sanguinus always requires at least two people who are both skilled in the same powers to make a connection, meaning that even if an outsider did learn it, it would be useless to them unless they had an ally with the same abilities.
